QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>

  • The prelims will take place in groups (heat) of 5-8 people on 3 songs from the DJ at different tempos (approximately 1 minute per song).<\/span><\/li>
  • In addition to the two guest dancers, 14 participants will be selected by the jury and will enter the quarter-finals.<\/span><\/li>
  • The 16 selected will be assigned a pair by drawing lots: the final phases will therefore be in pairs (8 couples).<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    FINAL ROUNDS<\/strong><\/p>

    • Each duo of dancers will compete against another duo of 2 different music from the live band (swing and blues structure.<\/li>
    • 2 rounds in the 1\/4 and 1\/2 with only 1 passage of 1 mn per dancer and 1 music corresponds to 1 round, it means the passages of 2 dancers.<\/li>
    • A round is not necessarily solo; depending on the chosen strategy, it can be performed as a duo. \nThere will be no imposed chorus, let yourself be carried away by the music!<\/li>
    • At the end of each battle the jury chooses the winning couple.<\/li>
    • 4 couples will therefore be chosen by the jury to enter the 1\/2 final which will take place later in the evening.<\/li>
    • The 1\/2 finals will follow the same rules as the 1\/4 finals.<\/li>
    • For the finalists, 4 rounds = 2 one-minute performances per dancer to the live band (be prepared for surprises).<\/li><\/ul>

      QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>

      • The dancers will perform individually to music provided by the DJ (Swing, Latin Jazz, Rhythm \u2018n\u2019 Blues, Bebop, Brass Band)<\/li>
      • Each dancer will have between 30 seconds and 1 minute to present their piece to the jury.<\/li>
      • In addition to the two guests, 14 participants will be selected to advance to the round of 16.<\/li><\/ul>

        FINAL ROUNDS<\/strong><\/p>

        The selected dancers will compete head-to-head to the DJ's music. After each battle, the jury will announce the winner.<\/p>

        • Round of 16 and Quarter-finals: 1 round per battle.<\/li>
        • Semi-finals and Final : 2 rounds per battle.<\/li><\/ul>
